1000 NHL Spiele. Congrats Nino.
Our co owner Nino Niederreiter has reached a remarkable milestone. As the first Swiss player in NHL history, he has played 1,000 games. For everyone at Padelta, this is a moment we look at with great respect and genuine pride.
During the 5:1 home win of the Winnipeg Jets against the Washington Capitals, Nino stepped onto the ice for his 1,000th NHL game. In more than 100 years of NHL history, only a small number of players have reached this mark. Nino Niederreiter made his NHL debut in 2010 with the New York Islanders and has established himself over many years in the best league in the world. Across several teams and now with the Winnipeg Jets, his career stands for consistency, commitment and professionalism at the highest level.
Recognition for this milestone has come from around the world. Teammates, former players, coaches and personalities far beyond ice hockey have shared their congratulations. Roger Federer also acknowledged this exceptional achievement. It clearly shows the standing Nino Niederreiter’s career holds in international elite sport.
For Padelta, this achievement is meaningful as well. Nino Niederreiter is not only one of the most successful Swiss athletes of his generation, but also a co owner of Padelta. His values, his understanding of teamwork and his professional mindset align perfectly with what Padelta stands for.
We warmly congratulate Nino Niederreiter on reaching 1,000 NHL games and look forward to celebrating this milestone together in the summer. Perhaps there will even be more reason to celebrate if Switzerland finds success at the Olympic Games.
