Padelta Takes Over Grindel Sports Centre

As of August 1, 2026, Padelta will take over the operation of Grindel Sports Centre. This long term succession solution ensures that the well established venue will continue operating under the Grindel name. The entire team will remain in place, operations will continue without interruption, and the sports offering will be expanded with four padel courts from spring 2027.

For customers, nothing will change in day to day operations. Tennis, badminton, squash and mini golf will continue to be available as before. The focus is on ensuring a smooth transition while further developing the venue together with the existing on site team.

In spring 2027, Padelta will invest in the sports centre by introducing padel. To make this possible, three tennis courts will be converted, resulting in a facility with five tennis courts and four padel courts.

With the addition of Grindel, Padelta expands its presence in the Greater Zurich area to three locations, alongside Milandia and Sportzentrum Zürich, which will open on August 17, 2026. This marks another step in Padelta’s strategy of developing established racket sports facilities for the long term while making padel accessible at well established sports venues.
