World-class padel at the FIP RISE
From August 25 to 27, the Padelta Pop-up at the Zurich Exhibition Center transformed into a Padel arena. The lineup of participants for the first international FIP tournament in Switzerland was impressive. The best players from Italy, France, England, Portugal, and Switzerland competed against each other, including some top-100 players from around the world and a former Wimbledon semi-finalist. The competition was tough, and the games promised a lot of excitement.
Over three days of the tournament, the audience witnessed incredible rallies. The highlight of the tournament was undoubtedly the thrilling final on Sunday evening. The young duo of Flavio Abbate and Giulio Graziotti from Italy faced off against the experienced players Miguel Oliveira from Portugal and Manuel Prado from Spain. In an intense match that went through three sets and two tie-breaks, the Italians eventually emerged victorious in the dramatic tie-break, securing the win at the FIP RISE PADELTA ZURICH.
The tournament was a complete success and will contribute to further establishing Padel sports in Switzerland. As organizers, we are proud to have put together this international event, thereby enhancing the enthusiasm for Padel in Switzerland.
