Gygax/Lopez win the Cupra Cup
This weekend, the 2nd Cupra Padel Cup took place in Rothenburg in categories 1, 3, and 4. The best players in Switzerland competed against each other and delivered exciting matches.
In category 1, Till Gygax, Switzerland’s number 1, and Head Coach Ivan Lopez celebrated an impressive victory. Without losing a set, they marched through the tournament and won the final against Till Brunner and Gian Grünig with 6:4 and 6:4.
In category 3, Lucas Zehetner and Jan Kellner also dominated. They won the final against Caro/Scarfo without losing a set, with scores of 6:4 and 6:4. Switzerland’s number 1 woman player and Padelta player, Karin Hechenberger, secured 3rd place in category 3 together with Agris Kolomicevs in the consolation draw.
In category 4, Albrim Elmazi and Manuel Bernhard won the final against Wietlisbach/Zivic with 6:3 and 6:2.
It was a successful weekend with many spectators at Padelta Rothenburg. The Cupra Padel Cups will continue at the end of August at Padelta Milandia.
